Local bridge direction
Poster Player uses a local Apple TV bridge direction to detect available playback state from the device in the customer network.
Apple TV docs
Apple TV can be part of a Poster Player setup through a local bridge, but metadata availability depends strongly on the app and Apple TV behaviour.
Details
Poster Player uses a local Apple TV bridge direction to detect available playback state from the device in the customer network.
Where available, Poster Player can use title, play/pause state, progress and app information to create a Now Playing display.
Some apps may not expose full metadata. Poster Player does not bypass protected app restrictions and may use branded or generic fallback views.
Apple TV is useful when combined with browser displays, TMDb enrichment and source priority logic in a wider home cinema room.
